Account information: Email address, name, phone number (optional), NRI status and country (if applicable). We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service.
Property analysis inputs: Property details you enter for analysis (price, city, locality, RERA number, etc.). These are stored to generate and display your reports.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, dates of access. We use this to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including generating property reports
- To process payments via Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international)
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription updates)
- To improve our scoring models and intelligence engine
- To respond to support requests
3. Data Sources
RealScan accesses publicly available data from MahaRERA (Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority), Google Maps API, and other public sources. This data includes project registration details, construction progress, complaints, and other regulatory filings that are part of the public record.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Payment processors: Razorpay and Stripe for payment processing
- AI providers: OpenAI for generating investment narratives (property data only, no personal data)
- Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting and database services
- Error monitoring: Sentry for application error tracking
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure token-based authentication (JWT). Payment information is never stored on our servers — it is handled entirely by Razorpay and Stripe.
6. Data Retention
Your account data and reports are retained for as long as you maintain an active account. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytical data may be retained for service improvement.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access your personal data, (b) correct inaccurate data, (c) request deletion of your account, (d) export your reports. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Analytics, if implemented, will use privacy-respecting methods.
